Triangle Shaped UFO Incidents
In recent decades large triangular UFOs have become one of the most consistent patterns in global sightings. These objects are also known as unidentified aerial phenomena or UAP. Witnesses from Australia, Europe, and North America describe massive craft that are often silent. These objects show extraordinary flight capabilities. They frequently display bright lights at the corners. Some reports mention low humming sounds. The craft perform maneuvers that defy known aerodynamics. These include hovering motionless before rapid acceleration or sharp turns.
Others believe they point to advanced non-human technology. Many cases involve multiple witnesses, including law enforcement and military personnel. Some include video or radar corroboration. These factors keep the debate alive and call for serious investigation. The TR-3B is often proposed as an explanation for black triangle sightings. It is sometimes called the Black Manta or Astra. This alleged ultra-secret United States military reconnaissance craft is rumored to have been developed under black budget programs. It may incorporate anti-gravity or electro-gravitic propulsion. Proponents say it explains the silent operation, triangular shape, and advanced maneuvers. Recent witness accounts near military bases and infrared footage keep the TR-3B idea active. However, no official confirmation exists.
Sightings of triangle-shaped UAP share several recurring traits. The shape is typically equilateral or isosceles. These objects are often large and flat. Sizes range from dozens to hundreds of feet across. Corners may appear rounded. Luminosity usually involves three bright lights at the vertices. These lights can be white, red, or other colors. Some reports include a glowing underside or central light. Sound levels vary. Many witnesses note complete silence. Others describe a low hum or rumble. Flight performance is remarkable. Objects hover, accelerate instantly, make right-angle turns, and disappear suddenly. These behaviors defy conventional aircraft. Sightings occur worldwide across many cultures and decades.
Credibility is strengthened by multiple independent witnesses, including police and pilots. Occasional photographic, video, or radar evidence adds further weight. Among the well-documented cases are several notable events. The Westall UFO sighting occurred in 1966 in Australia. Schoolchildren and staff reported a large silent triangular object near a school in Melbourne suburbs. The Berwyn Mountain incident took place in 1974 in Wales. It involved a large triangular object with lights and possible ground effects. The Rendlesham Forest incident happened in 1980 in the United Kingdom. Military personnel encountered a triangular craft in the forest near RAF Bentwaters. The Hudson Valley sightings stretched from 1983 to 1986 in New York. They featured mass sightings of a large silent triangular craft over multiple years. The Phoenix Lights event in 1997 in Arizona became famous for a massive V-shaped or triangular object with lights passing over the city. The Illinois Triangle incident on January 5 2000 involved multiple police officers. They pursued a huge silent triangular craft estimated to be football-field sized across several towns. The Stephenville Lights appeared in 2008 in Texas. Witnesses saw a large triangular object at low altitude with bright lights. The Tinley Park Lights occurred from 2004 to 2006 in Illinois. They featured recurring red lights in triangular formation.
Several incidents stand out for their exceptionally close range and detailed eyewitness descriptions. On March 31 1993 the RAF Shawbury UK triangle event took place. A meteorological officer and multiple police and military witnesses observed a massive black triangular craft. It was jumbo jet sized. The object hovered stationary before accelerating rapidly. It emitted a searchlight-like beam scanning the ground and produced a low-frequency hum. In November 2003 in Provo Utah journalist Steven Greenstreet had a personal encounter. He reported a silent black triangular object with bright blue lights on its underside. It passed directly overhead at low altitude. In spring 2021 at Twentynine Palms Marine Base in California dozens of United States Marines witnessed an event. A large silent triangular object hovered motionless over the base for over ten minutes. Witnesses captured cell phone images and videos. Base command responded with helicopters and flares.
The Belgian UFO Wave from 1989 to 1990 remains one of the most thoroughly documented mass sightings of triangular UAP in history. From November 1989 to April 1990 hundreds of witnesses reported large silent black triangles. Many witnesses were police officers and military personnel. The objects had bright lights at the corners and performed impossible maneuvers. The wave peaked on March 30-31 1990. Belgian Air Force F-16 jets were scrambled. Ground and airborne radar tracked the objects. They accelerated rapidly, changed direction at sharp angles, and descended from over 10000 feet to near ground level in seconds. No conventional aircraft could match the performance.
Photographic evidence from the wave is significant. In April 1990 Patrick Marechal captured the famous Petit-Rechain photo. It shows a clear image of a black triangular craft with three bright lights at the vertices and a central light. The original 35mm color slide negative was analyzed by several experts. These included Prof. Marc Acheroy of the Belgian Royal Military Academy, Dr. Richard Haines a NASA senior scientist, physicist Auguste Meessen, Andre Marion of CNRS, and Francois Louange a satellite imagery specialist. The analyses revealed a solid triangular structure beneath the lights. They also noted a magnetic-field-like halo and traits consistent with a large object in motion. Multiple experts found no signs of photographic trickery.
They said it would be extremely difficult to hoax convincingly. In 2011 Marechal claimed it was a hoax made with a styrofoam model. However, in 2022-2024 communications he reportedly reversed his statement. He said he was paid a substantial sum to debunk the photo. He reaffirmed that the image is genuine and provided access to the original 35mm slide. A second similar photo was taken by J.S. Henrardi in June 1990.
The waters and airspace around Santa Catalina Island off the coast of Los Angeles form a notable UAP hotspot for black triangle sightings. The indigenous Tongva people historically called the island Pimu. The region has generated recurring reports of large triangular objects. These craft are often silent and display unusual maneuvering. Interest increased after the 2024 Immaculate Constellation leaked infrared images. These reportedly show geometric UAP including orbs, motherships, and distinct triangular shapes. The area lies near the 2004 USS Nimitz Tic Tac encounters, roughly 70-100 miles away. Possible connections to underwater anomalies near Guadalupe Island add further importance. The location may serve as a corridor for anomalous activity.
Former director of the Pentagon’s Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force Jay Stratton is set to release his memoir. The book is titled Out of the Shadows: Revealing the Truth About Non-Human Intelligent Life. It is scheduled for October 13 2026. The cover prominently features a large dark triangular object with lights hovering over the White House. This imagery symbolizes the ongoing intrigue around these phenomena. As one of the most senior officials involved in government UAP investigations, Stratton promises to disclose what can lawfully be revealed. He will cover discoveries, challenges, and potential non-human intelligence. This creates significant anticipation in the field. Triangle sightings continue worldwide. Strong reports often occur near military installations and coastal areas like Southern California. The recurring global pattern of triangular UAP cannot be easily dismissed. These objects may be secret human technology like the rumored TR-3B. They could involve exotic propulsion systems. Or they may represent something entirely unknown.
