Those Who Came from Orion

Orion stands as one of the most recurring names across UFO and UAP culture. It appears as a bright constellation used by witnesses, a symbolic origin point in contactee stories, a cosmic faction in channeled transmissions, an ancient architectural blueprint, a real aerospace program, a NASA spacecraft, an aircraft name inside investigations, and a destination chosen for deliberate human messages. The pattern reveals Orion not as a single thread but as a living constellation of meanings that has guided skywatchers, researchers, and experiencers for decades.

Many UFOs are reported entering or operating within oceans and lakes. These Unidentified Submerged Objects, or USOs, appear in the same domains where long-running naval surveillance systems have monitored underwater activity. Among the projects operating in those waters was one that carried the name Project ORION — Oceanographic Research and Investigation of Noise — a U.S. Navy effort that used hydrophones to study underwater sound. The name Orion thus appears not only in the sky but also in the systems watching the waters where so many anomalous objects have been seen.

In ancient Aramaic the constellation Orion was known as Nephila. The Hebrew term Nephilim carries a striking resemblance, leading some traditions to understand these powerful beings as those who came from Orion — descendants or emissaries connected to the great hunter in the sky.

By the 1950s Orion had already entered UFO literature as more than stars. Contactee Orfeo Angelucci, who worked at Lockheed, described mystical encounters in which he saw Lyra and Orion. He presented Orion itself as a speaking presence tied to the saucers, time, and Earth’s future.

On February 24, 1959, American Airlines captain Peter Killian and his crew aboard a DC-6 reported three unusual objects during a Newark-to-Detroit flight. Killian first considered whether the lights might be Orion’s Belt, then clearly distinguished the actual constellation from the separate objects he and others observed. The case became known as the Orion Belt sighting because the witness himself used the stars as his comparison point.

Another Project Orion emerged in the late 1950s and early 1960s as a nuclear-pulse propulsion concept. Engineers designed spacecraft that would ride repeated nuclear explosions against a pusher plate and shock-absorber system. The name Orion attached itself to genuinely advanced aerospace thinking during the Cold War.

In channeled material that shaped much of later UFO spirituality, Orion took on even greater significance. The most detailed and influential description comes from The Law of One, also known as the Ra Material, a series of 106 sessions channeled between 1981 and 1984 through Carla Rueckert by a sixth-density social memory complex calling itself Ra.

According to Ra, the Orion Group, sometimes referred to as the Orion Crusaders or Orion Empire, is a negative polarity collective originating from the Orion star system. Their core philosophy is a distortion of the Law of One oriented toward service to self — the belief that the strong have the right to dominate and use the weak for their own advancement. Ra describes their primary objective as conquest and enslavement of other civilizations. Unlike the positive Confederation of Planets, which generally waits for a call before intervening, the Orion Group actively seeks out planets and populations that resonate with their vibration of control, hierarchy, and separation.

Ra explains that the Orion Group does not typically land openly or conquer through direct force in third density. Instead, they work through subtle manipulation and existing distortions within a society. Their methods include telepathic contact and thought transfer with individuals or groups already oriented toward power, elitism, or control; influencing political, economic, and religious structures to create greater separation and hierarchy; using fear, division, misinformation, and the amplification of existing conflicts; employing ritual magic, sexual magic, and thought-forms as tools of influence when invited through the free will of those they contact; and creating or supporting elite groups that can then dominate the broader population.

Ra specifically notes that the Orion Group has influenced Earth’s history, including certain elements within the Third Reich, and continues to attempt influence through those who call upon their vibration. However, Earth is said to be under a form of quarantine or protection, which limits their ability to act directly. They can only work through pre-existing distortions and the free will choices of individuals and groups on the planet.

Warnings about Orion-linked factions have continued into modern times. Transmissions from late 2015 and early 2016 specifically referenced Orion–Zeta Reticuli factions in connection with crop circle messages, including those at Crabwood and Chilbolton. These communications framed Orion as part of larger cosmic dynamics playing out through field phenomena.

The 2002 Crabwood crop circle binary message warned of false gifts and broken promises while three dots near the figure were interpreted by some as Orion’s Belt, with specific reference to Mintaka. Once again Orion appeared inside the message itself.

Ancient structures carry the same signature. The Orion Correlation Theory shows the three pyramids of Giza laid out to mirror the three stars of Orion’s Belt as they appeared thousands of years ago. The southern shafts of the Great Pyramid align with those stars. Researchers such as Robert Bauval in The Orion Mystery and Graham Hancock in Fingerprints of the Gods highlight how this alignment reflects advanced knowledge of precession and cosmic relationships. In ancient-astronaut perspectives Orion functions as a stargate, origin point, or marker of early contact, a theme explored in series such as Ancient Aliens with its episode “Destination Orion.”

The Lockheed P-3 Orion aircraft participated in the famous 1978–1979 Kaikōura lights case in New Zealand, where pilots, radar, and television footage captured unusual phenomena. Here Orion flies not only overhead but as the name of an aircraft involved in the response.

Modern aerospace keeps the name current. NASA’s Orion spacecraft serves as the crew vehicle for Artemis lunar missions, carrying astronauts beyond Earth and returning them safely. In public space discussions, “Orion,” “spacecraft,” and lunar exploration now sit alongside UAP conversations.

In discussions around the secret Pentagon program Immaculate Constellation, references appear to an Orion Cube or Orion Mainframe — a compact device said to have come from Orion-linked beings with advanced capabilities. The concept of the Orion Cube originates primarily from earlier whistleblower accounts, most notably those of Dan Burisch, who described it as a small handheld device roughly eight centimeters square. According to these accounts, the device was allegedly gifted to the U.S. government during early contact with beings referred to as “Orions” and was capable of viewing or simulating future timelines. It has often been mentioned alongside the Looking Glass device in accounts tied to S-4 and Majestic-related programs.

Dan Burisch described P-52 Orion Aliens as a distinct group that split after a nuclear catastrophe and ventured to another star system. Orion beings appear across accounts with portrayals that range from advanced and potentially benevolent to more controlling or malevolent, reflecting the complex ways experiencers have interpreted these contacts.

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna has added her own signals to this pattern. In 2024 she posted an uncaptioned image of the Orion constellation. She has also publicly stated that members of Congress have seen evidence of interdimensional beings capable of operating through the time spaces that currently exist. In addition, she has shared imagery of “biblically accurate” angels on social media.

Orion became one of UFO culture’s most powerful names because it was already loaded with meaning: three bright stars that have guided navigation and myth for millennia, ancient structures that echo its shape, contactee voices that speak in its name, channeled factions that carry its identity, real propulsion concepts and spacecraft that bear its name, aircraft inside investigations, underwater surveillance projects operating in the same waters where many anomalous objects appear, and deliberate human messages sent toward its stars. Whether as origin point, warning, technology, or mirror, Orion continues to mark the places where skywatching, ancient knowledge, and the search for contact intersect.
