Project Preserve Destiny (PPD)

Project Preserve Destiny (PPD) is described in Dan Sherman’s book “Above Black,” where he recounts his experiences as a United States Air Force non-commissioned officer who claims to have been involved in a highly classified program. According to Sherman, PPD was an above Top Secret-level program aimed at establishing communication with extraterrestrial beings known as “Greys,” with contact dated in his briefings to 1947. In his account, PPD itself began in 1960 as a genetic-based initiative designed to create a reliable method of communication with these beings, and was described as becoming fully operational by 1963.

PPD is presented as a “genetic management” effort that ran through the 1960s, with the goal of producing individuals capable of intuitive, non-electromagnetic communication. This communication system was framed as a backup method in the event that conventional electromagnetic systems could fail. Sherman states that the program produced a limited number of individuals with this capability, often referred to as “intuitive communicators,” with some accounts placing the end of the genetic phase around March 1968.

Sherman claims his own involvement in PPD was tied to genetic alterations performed before his birth. He describes two incidents involving his mother, the first in 1960 and a second in 1963 while she was pregnant with him, during which procedures were allegedly carried out that affected him in utero. He was later told that this made him receptive to the communication methods used by the Greys, with this ability remaining dormant until it was activated through training during his service.

He describes his role as an “Intuitive Communicator,” tasked with receiving transmissions and relaying them within a secure military framework. Training reportedly took place at a restricted off-site location, where he was transported under controlled conditions and worked in a secured room environment. He describes an initial phase that included the use of pills and exposure to audio tones through headphones, followed by exercises in mentally generating and matching frequencies. These exercises included manipulating sine wave patterns on a screen using mental focus alone, gradually increasing in complexity until multiple signals could be controlled simultaneously. Over time, this process developed into receiving structured transmissions without the use of conventional input devices.

According to Sherman, he never physically encountered the Greys, but instead communicated through distinct entities during these sessions, which he referred to as “Spock” in early interactions and later “Bones” as the communication evolved. Early interactions were brief and ended abruptly when he began asking deeper questions. Later communications became more structured and data-focused. He states that many transmissions included numerical sequences, identifiers, and latitude and longitude coordinates, which he associated with locations and events. He also recounts discussions that ranged from philosophical concepts such as the nature of time and consciousness to more practical descriptions of biological and societal characteristics.

A significant turning point in his account occurred when he directly asked about Project Preserve Destiny during one of these communication sessions. He states that the interaction was immediately terminated, and that subsequent sessions changed in tone and content, focusing primarily on structured data rather than conversational exchanges.

Sherman describes attempts to leave the program and the Air Force, which were initially denied, before ultimately securing discharge under separate circumstances. He portrays his service as honorable overall, but expresses lasting unease about his involvement in PPD.

The existence of Project Preserve Destiny as described by Sherman has not been publicly confirmed through official sources. While aspects of his military service have been independently verified, the claims surrounding PPD remain based on his personal testimony.
