Pole Sticking Out of UFO
The term “pole sticking out” has been used in various UFO sightings to describe a protrusion from the craft, often in a vertical or horizontal position. Some witnesses reported seeing a “pole sticking out” from the bottom of the objects. These poles were described as being around 20 feet long and made of a shiny metal.
There is only one reported incident of a person attempting to touch the pole sticking out from a UFO.
This UFO sighting that included a “pole sticking out” occurred in 1967 in Falcon Lake, Manitoba, Canada. Stefan Michalak, a prospector, claimed that he encountered a UFO while prospecting in the wilderness. He reported that he saw a saucer-shaped object that had landed on a rock ledge about 160 feet away from him. Michalak approached the object and claimed that he saw a panel with hieroglyphics and a “pole sticking out” from the side of the object. Michalak attempted to touch the pole, but it burned his gloves and caused him to fall backwards.
- Washington, D.C. UFO incident (1952): Air traffic controllers reported seeing blips on their radar screens, which were later identified as UFOs. Witnesses on the ground reported seeing objects with “poles sticking out” that were silent and capable of incredible speeds and maneuvers.
- Falcon Lake UFO incident (1967): Prospector Stefan Michalak claimed to have encountered a UFO in Manitoba, Canada. He saw a saucer-shaped object with a panel of hieroglyphics and a “pole sticking out” from the side. Michalak tried to touch the pole, but it burned his gloves and caused him to suffer radiation sickness.
- Coyame UFO incident (1975): Two Mexican military officers and a US Air Force captain saw a disc-shaped object with a “pole sticking out” hovering over a deserted area of the desert near Coyame, Mexico. They attempted to fly closer to the object, but it suddenly disappeared.
- Bentwaters UFO incident (1980): Two US military officers stationed at the Royal Air Force base in Bentwaters, England, reported seeing strange lights in the nearby forest. They investigated and claimed to have encountered a metallic object with a “pole sticking out” from the bottom. One of the officers, Charles Halt, recorded an audio tape of the event.

- Phoenix Lights incident (1997): Thousands of witnesses in Phoenix, Arizona, reported seeing a large, triangular object with bright lights and a “pole sticking out” that passed over the city. The incident has been the subject of much controversy and speculation.
- Shag Harbour UFO incident (1967): Multiple witnesses in Shag Harbour, Nova Scotia, reported seeing a glowing object crash into the water. The object was described as being about the size of a small airliner with a “pole sticking out” from the top. The incident was investigated by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and the Canadian military.
- Rendlesham Forest incident (1980): Multiple US military personnel stationed at RAF Bentwaters in Suffolk, England, reported seeing strange lights and a metallic object with a “pole sticking out” in Rendlesham Forest. The incident is often referred to as Britain’s Roswell and remains one of the most well-documented UFO sightings in history.

- Cash-Landrum incident (1980): Betty Cash, Vickie Landrum, and Colby Landrum claimed to have seen a large, diamond-shaped object with a “pole sticking out” on a rural road near Huffman, Texas. They claimed to have suffered from radiation sickness as a result of the encounter.
