North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and UFO

The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) is a bi-national military organization responsible for the aerospace defense of North America, including the United States and Canada. Despite its primary focus on ensuring the safety of North America’s airspace, NORAD has also been involved in several investigations of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) and unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs).

In the past, NORAD has kept track of and monitored UFO sightings, as well as provided explanations for some of the more unusual sightings. Over the years, there have been several reported encounters between NORAD and unidentified objects, but only a few have been confirmed and documented.

  1. NORAD tracks UFO and UAP sightings through its air defense system: NORAD is equipped with advanced radar systems that monitor North America’s airspace 24/7. In the event of a UFO or UAP sighting, NORAD’s radar systems can track the object and provide valuable information to authorities.
  2. NORAD has documented several UFO sightings: While most UFO sightings are never confirmed, NORAD has documented several encounters with unidentified objects that remain unexplained to this day. For example, in 1997, two F-16 fighter jets were scrambled to intercept a UFO that was reported to be hovering over the East Coast of the United States. Despite their efforts, the pilots were unable to intercept the object and it remains unidentified to this day.
  3. NORAD’s involvement in the investigation of UAPs: In recent years, the United States Department of Defense (DoD) has increased its focus on the investigation of UAPs. As part of these efforts, the DoD has worked closely with NORAD to gather information and evidence about these sightings. In 2020, the DoD released several videos of UAP encounters, which were recorded by U.S. military pilots and analyzed by NORAD and other government agencies.
