Multi-Pointed Star Shaped UFOs

Multi-Pointed Star Shaped UFOs

In early April 2026, a new set of images surfaced online showing an unusual multi-pointed object captured over the ocean by what appears to be a military electro-optical or infrared system. The target displays a rare and striking morphology: an irregular eight-pointed starburst with sharp, elongated arms radiating from a textured central body, including more prominent vertical and horizontal extensions that give it a distinct cruciform appearance.

The new imagery — reportedly taken by an Indonesian CN235 maritime patrol aircraft near the Natuna Islands — adds another example to this uncommon morphological UFO category. The object is locked in a green military targeting reticle with a horizontal bracket labeled “27,” and both original and enhanced versions of the image are circulating.

The Natuna Islands are an archipelago of approximately 272 islands located in the northernmost part of Indonesia’s Riau Islands Province, in the southern South China Sea. Situated between the Malay Peninsula to the west and the island of Borneo to the east, they lie roughly 500 km north of Singapore and form part of Indonesia’s northern maritime frontier. The region is strategically significant due to its proximity to vital international shipping lanes, rich fishing grounds, and potential oil and gas reserves. It is also a frequent area of tension, as Indonesia regularly conducts maritime patrols there to counter illegal fishing — particularly by Chinese vessels — within its Exclusive Economic Zone.

Multi Pointed Star Shaped UFO Enhanced

The enhanced image improves clarity and contrast and largely reveals the same underlying structure in greater detail. The edges remain somewhat soft, which indicates that the object is not fully resolved by the sensor.

Across both the original and enhanced frames, the object consistently appears as an 8-pointed structure made up of four cardinal arms and four diagonal arms. Smaller jagged edges exist between some of these arms, but they appear to be secondary features rather than distinct points. The central body looks textured and uneven, with a light tan or off-white appearance. The object is centered within a green targeting reticle with crosshairs and a horizontal bracketed line labeled “27,” suggesting it was being actively tracked or observed.

If the attribution is accurate, the imagery could originate from a CN235 maritime patrol aircraft. These aircraft are commonly equipped with electro-optical and infrared turret systems mounted in belly pods, capable of long-range surveillance over water. These systems display stabilized video feeds with targeting overlays, crosshairs, and tracking indicators similar to what is visible in the image. They are designed to operate in difficult visual environments, including glare from the ocean surface, atmospheric distortion, and long-distance viewing conditions.

A rough size estimate can be made by comparing the object’s span to the horizontal bracket labeled “27.” Assuming only for estimation that this marking represents a 27-foot reference, the object would measure approximately 16 feet vertically, about 20 feet horizontally, and roughly 17 to 19 feet overall, with a central body around 4 to 5.5 feet across. This assumption is not confirmed. The “27” could instead represent range, zoom level, or another system parameter. If the scale assumption is correct, the object would be similar in size to a small aircraft wingspan or a large drone.

In military EO/IR targeting systems, a number next to a horizontal bracket or reticle line most commonly indicates slant range, zoom factor, sensor mode, or tracking data rather than a direct size reference. Given that the platform could be Indonesian, any distance-based reading would more likely be in meters than feet. Without confirmed system metadata or full video, accurate physical sizing remains difficult.

The imagery is reported to have circulated via Reddit, specifically discussed in communities such as r/UFOs, where a user (u/SkyeJamire32) claimed it originated from a now-deleted Indonesian military Facebook forum post. It stated the footage was captured near the Natuna Islands, an area regularly patrolled by Indonesian forces due to illegal fishing activity, often involving Chinese vessels. While this provides context for how the imagery surfaced, there is no official confirmation, no original file, and no metadata available, so the source remains unverified.

Multi Pointed Star Shaped UFO

This specific image appears to belong to the same incident as the primary image described above. Captured on 23 December 2025 at UTC+7.0 by the same Indonesian CN-235 maritime patrol aircraft operating near the Natuna Islands, it shows the identical multi-pointed object under slightly different sensor processing. The green electro-optical/infrared HUD displays updated telemetry, including “EON DL:LL” in the upper right, “ACFT” and “OFF NONE” along the bottom, and a horizontal ranging bracket now labeled “24.” Multiple black redaction boxes obscure additional data fields, while a small green circular marker appears on the left side of the frame. The object retains the same radiant central core and symmetrical radiating arms, confirming it is the same event rather than a separate sighting.

The numbers “24” and “27” visible on the horizontal green ranging bracket in the two frames most likely represent the slant range (distance) from the aircraft’s sensor to the object. In military EO/IR systems, this value typically appears in thousands of feet or meters and updates dynamically as the aircraft or target moves. The slight difference between the two images is consistent with frames captured moments apart during the same tracking sequence, with the object approximately 24,000–27,000 feet (roughly 4.5–5.1 nautical miles) from the CN-235 patrol aircraft.

Indonesian Navy CN 235 MPA P 8305 Juanda

The aircraft shown in the photograph is the exact Indonesian Navy CASA/IPTN CN-235-220 Maritime Patrol Aircraft (tail number P-8305) most commonly associated with this incident. Operated by Air Squadron 800 (Puspenerbal) based at Juanda Naval Air Station in Surabaya, this is the specific plane referenced in the original social media claims. Supporting claims point to Flightradar24 data showing this aircraft departing from Batam and turning off its transponder on 23 December 2025 — the exact date displayed in the UAP imagery. It is a real, active Indonesian Navy maritime patrol platform equipped with electro-optical and infrared sensor pods capable of producing footage of this type.

This recent case bears a strong resemblance to objects that gained attention in 2024. That year saw the release of Jeremy Corbell’s “Chandelier” UAP image (January 2024) and the Immaculate Constellation program leaks (December 2024), both of which featured similarly ornate, spiky, cruciform-style objects.

This object fits into a specific and relatively rare category that can be defined as a Multi-Pointed Star Shape, also referred to as starburst, spiky star, stellated, chandelier, sea urchin-like, porcupine-shaped, or ornate cruciform. This category describes objects with an irregular or textured central body and eight or more sharp, elongated spikes or arms radiating outward in a radial pattern. These objects often appear solid and structured at the core, with jagged but roughly symmetrical protrusions. Some reports emphasize a cruciform structure with stronger vertical and horizontal arms, leading to descriptions such as ornately spiked cruciform objects in alleged Pentagon Immaculate Constellation leaks from December 2024. These types of objects are typically described as hovering or moving slowly, sometimes over water, and remain relatively rare in major databases, though they appear in both civilian eyewitness reports and military electro-optical sensor imagery. Reported sizes generally fall in the range of approximately 15 to 30 feet across, which aligns with the estimated dimensions of the object analyzed here under the working scale assumption.

One of the closest modern parallels is the object referred to as the “Chandelier” UAP, released by Jeremy Corbell in January 2024. This object was captured using U.S. military sensor systems over the Persian Gulf and appears as a spiky, multi-pointed structure with a similar radial geometry. Only a still image was publicly released, with no accompanying video.

THE CHANDELIER UAP

Another relevant comparison comes from the alleged Immaculate Constellation program leaks in December 2024. These black-and-white images reportedly show cross-shaped objects with ornate spikes extending from a central axis. While the images remain unverified, the description of these objects as “ornately spiked cruciform” aligns strongly with the combination of radial and cross-like features observed in the Natuna imagery.

Civilian reports also provide supporting examples. The National UFO Reporting Center database includes multiple sightings describing star-shaped or starburst objects. In one report (NUFORC ID 74578), a witness described a starburst-type circular object with multiple pointed extensions. In another case (NUFORC ID 80743), the object was described as a star-shaped craft with distinct spikes. While these accounts vary in detail and reliability, they demonstrate that this morphology has been observed independently across different contexts.

In 1967, two Devon police constables, Roger Willie and Clifford Waycott, reported a close-range UFO encounter while on night patrol. At just after 4:00 a.m., they spotted an object roughly 400 yards away at treetop level, which they described as resembling an unusual cross shape. As they pursued it at high speed, the object showed remarkable acceleration and maneuverability, rapidly changing altitude from low treetop level to higher elevations. Notably, it emitted no sound despite its movement. The officers stated they were close enough to clearly see it and were certain it was not a misidentification. Both concluded the object appeared to be intelligently controlled, possibly even reacting to their presence, with one officer stating it felt as though it was watching them.

These cases stand as one of the clearer and better-documented examples of the rare Multi-Pointed Star / Starburst morphology in recent UAP literature. It represents a significant addition to the catalog of unusually shaped UFOs and strongly merits further investigation, including the release of any associated full-motion video and sensor data.
