I Had Aliens in my Backyard
On the night of April 30 into May 1, 2023, a Las Vegas teenager named Angel Kenmore and members of his family reported an extraordinary series of events in their backyard. What began with a bright light falling from the sky and a powerful impact quickly escalated into claims of tall, non-human beings, a frantic 911 call, police response, and later reports of additional strange activity. Angel’s own detailed narration of that night, along with subsequent interviews, remains the primary first-person record of the incident. His brother (referred to as Joshua in some reports), who was present with Angel during the original backyard events, appeared in the early family interviews—particularly the September 2023 Inside Edition segments—and participated in the drawings of the beings. Beyond those initial appearances, however, there is no record of the brothers giving independent interviews, podcasts, or further public statements. The broader family largely went quiet together with Angel after the limited 2024 Banfield interviews.
Angel Kenmore’s Original (June 2023)
In his first and only extended personal video, Angel Kenmore gives a continuous account of the night:
“Hello everybody. Welcome to my channel. This is my first video. I’m here to tell you what happened to me on May 1st 2023. I’m not trying to explain the best of my abilities. This is not a conspiracy theory. I’m not making this story out for clout or fame. I just want to tell you what happened to me and my family…
Keep in mind this is midnight and I’m fixing a truck in my backyard. At this point I’m only with my brother and I hear something fall from the sky. I turn around. The only thing I see is a big light falling from the sky and moments after I feel a big impact and a bang… when that impact happened it was sort of like a shock wave… like an out-of-body experience…
When I tried to look at the object it was all blurry — not my vision but only the backyard area — and I hear thousands of footsteps around me… maybe a couple seconds later the blurriness was gone…
The only thing I can see in the backyard is a tall creature probably around 8–10 feet tall, very thin… So I called my dad. He went to the backyard and he saw the same thing…
Look behind the forklift… then I see the alien creature. So when I saw it, it was a tall skinny lengthy creature. He was a gray greenish color. And when I looked at it in the eyes my body just froze… like the same experience as having sleep paralysis. Keep in mind I’m staring at him and I look at his whole body and he has weird looking feet and a big face and eyes and you can see a big mouth. And I could hear his loud deep breathing and I could see his stomach moving. He would just stare at me. Seconds later I could start moving again and I started running towards the house. That’s when I called 911.”
In the 911 call included in the video, Angel states the beings were very large (approximately 8–10 feet), had big shiny eyes and a big mouth, and were “100% not human.” While waiting for police he reported hearing footsteps in the backyard, whispering, and later footsteps on the roof. Officers noted a perfect circular mark on the ground. One officer remarked that if the “nine-foot beings” returned, the family should deal with it themselves. After police left, while the family was praying, Angel says they heard a loud human-like scream in the backyard. He ends the video by saying he planned to make a Part 2 about events after May 1st.
Inside Edition Interviews (September 2023)
In his first major television interviews, Angel walked reporters through the backyard and described the encounter while the family produced drawings of the beings. His brother Joshua appeared alongside him in these segments and participated in the drawings. Angel confirmed he was working on a truck, saw the light fall, heard a noise, and was paralyzed with fear. He and other family members described the beings as non-human and green-gray in color.

Nearly a year later, Angel expanded on both the original night and later experiences inside the house. He described the creature as moving, breathing, growling “like a dog,” and appearing angry, again stating he was temporarily unable to move. He also reported an upside-down floating crucifix with the figure of Jesus removed and Bible pages turning on their own with no breeze present. He said priests who visited suggested the activity might involve “fallen angels” or demons, and he expressed that the overall experience had left him traumatized. The rest of the family, including his brother, did not continue speaking publicly after these appearances.
Angel Kenmore’s original June 2023 video remains the most detailed single account he has given. In it he describes a sequence that begins with a falling light and impact, moves through sensory distortion and the sudden appearance of tall, thin, gray-greenish beings with distinctive facial and bodily features, and ends with police response, residual sounds, and a reported scream. Subsequent interviews largely reaffirmed the core elements of that night while adding later claims of activity inside the home. His brother Joshua, present during the original events, appeared in the early family interviews and drawings but did not give independent interviews or further public statements afterward. The broader family largely went quiet together with Angel after the Banfield interviews. As of August 2026, no Part 2 video or additional interviews from Angel or his brother have been located.
Roughly eight months after the Las Vegas backyard events, another high-profile episode involving tall non-human figures occurred on New Year’s Day 2024 at Bayside Marketplace in Miami. A large police response to what authorities described as unruly juveniles with fireworks quickly generated viral online reports of 8- to 10-foot “shadow aliens” or similar beings.
Approximately 19–20 months after the Kenmore family’s reported backyard encounter, a UFO crash and possible retrieval surfaced in connection with events near Lebanon, New Jersey, around December 8, 2024. Reports described a large object going down with fire and smoke, a rapid law-enforcement response, and related unusual aerial activity in the region during the wider late-2024 New Jersey sightings wave.
A few months before the Las Vegas backyard incident, in early February 2023, residents in the Billings, Montana area reported objects appearing to fall from the sky accompanied by a loud explosion or flash. The reports came during a period of heightened public attention to aerial objects following the Chinese balloon overflight and generated local video and discussion, though official sources found no confirmed aircraft crash or explosion.
About 18 months after the Kenmore family’s reported backyard encounter, surveillance video from Salinas, California, on October 26, 2024, circulated online appearing to show an unidentified object colliding with a truck before departing the scene. The footage prompted discussion of a possible sphere-shaped UAP impact.
Around the same general period as the early-2023 aerial object reports and shortly before or contemporary with the Kenmore family’s May 2023 backyard encounter, video and accounts circulated of a large saucer-shaped object being transported on a truck with escorts through the Bakersfield–Palmdale corridor in California, an area near major aerospace facilities. The transport was described as coordinated and highly visible.
A Strange Period of UFO and Non-Human Activity
Viewed on its own, the May 1, 2023 Las Vegas incident is already extraordinary: a brilliant object reportedly fell from the sky, an impact or shock wave was felt, a circular mark appeared on the ground, and several members of one family claimed to encounter enormous, thin, non-human beings in their backyard. What makes the case even more difficult to dismiss as simply an isolated strange night, however, is what was being reported elsewhere during the same general period.
The chronology is remarkable. Across roughly two years, witnesses in widely separated parts of the United States repeatedly described objects descending from the sky, spheres and other unexplained craft, unusual lights, apparent impacts, electrical disturbances, enormous police responses and, in the most extreme accounts, tall non-human figures.
That wider context is what makes the Las Vegas case so compelling. It was not merely a teenager saying he saw an alien. There was a reported object in the sky, a physical sensation of impact, multiple family witnesses, a 911 call made while the event was unfolding, police arriving at the property, and subsequent claims of continuing anomalous activity. And surrounding that incident on the timeline are other reports carrying some surprisingly similar elements.
