César Locatelli UFO Encounter (1986)
In 1986, while walking in the Jura mountains in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region of Eastern France, César Locatelli encountered an unusual event. He stumbled upon a transparent object on the ground emitting a sound reminiscent of a buzzing electrical transformer. Inside, he saw humanoid beings dressed in monk-like robes, with at least one having blond hair. The encounter startled him, prompting him to quickly leave the scene. Locatelli remained silent about the experience for five years before finally sharing his story.
In ufology, there are various types of observations, with the first and second types involving sightings of objects in the sky or traces on the ground. César Locatelli’s encounter in June 1986 in the Jura mountains is considered a third-kind encounter, involving a ground object and humanoid forms.
While searching for wild bees, Locatelli stumbled upon a large, transparent, bluish disc-shaped object resting partly on a boulder. Locatelli described stopping abruptly upon seeing the craft, which he initially thought was an out-of-order helicopter. The craft emitted a buzzing sound, and he saw humanoid beings with blond hair and wearing white robes. The saucer was transparent, and the beings were seated inside.
Inside, he saw six human-like figures wearing white, monk-like robes with hoods, one of whom had blond hair. The beings appeared unaware of Locatelli’s presence, as their heads were inclined downward. The object had some opaque vertical areas on its surface and was tilted sharply with one side resting on the stone and the other on the ground.
Shocked, he quickly left the scene, later regretting not staying longer to observe more.
He revisited the site in November 1990 and found the large boulder, previously there, was gone. This added another layer of mystery to his experience. Upon returning again in January 1991, he felt unwell and had difficulty breathing, indicating a lingering effect from the encounter.
