Egg-Shaped UFO stored at Area 51
Eric Taber, a former defense aerospace contractor with 13 years of experience, recently shared a compelling account about a metallic, egg-shaped UFO allegedly stored at Area 51 in the 1980s. According to Taber, this information came from his late great-uncle, Sam Urquhart, who worked as a contractor at the highly classified base from 1997 to 2014. Urquhart had reportedly spoken with a senior EG&G engineer who had firsthand experience working on the mysterious object.
The craft was described as smooth, seamless, and metallic, approximately the size of an SUV, with a silverish-gray coloration. Unlike conventional aircraft or spacecraft, it had no visible control surfaces, such as wings, flaps, or ailerons, nor did it possess any form of propulsion system—there were no inlets, exhaust ports, or thrusters. The structure was completely intact when discovered, suggesting that it had not suffered any kind of impact or crash damage.
Efforts to analyze the craft proved frustrating for engineers. X-ray scans failed to penetrate the object, making it impossible to determine whether there was an interior space, mechanisms, or a pilot’s compartment. The hull was impenetrable to standard cutting tools, and even attempts to take samples proved challenging. Only small amounts of material could be extracted, and when analyzed, the isotope ratios were unlike any known terrestrial material, leading experts to speculate that it was not manufactured on Earth. There were no apparent seams, rivets, or welds, further confounding scientists as to how it could have been constructed. The craft also displayed no electronic response to external stimulation, suggesting that it either lacked conventional circuitry or had an unknown means of operation.
According to Urquhart’s account, the craft was originally recovered from a remote desert location where it was reportedly found resting, undamaged and unmanned. It had been retrieved by the CIA and transported to Area 51 for analysis. The engineers were tasked with reverse-engineering the technology, but they made no progress in understanding how it functioned. It eventually was removed from their research team’s custody, though where it was relocated remains unknown. Taber, acknowledging that his information is secondhand, nonetheless considers it a credible lead in understanding government secrecy surrounding non-human craft.
He testified about this account to the Pentagon’s UFO investigation unit, AARO (All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office), in May 2023, as part of an effort to collect and document evidence of government possession of non-human technology. His interview lasted 45 minutes, after which he was asked to sign an official memorandum of record, confirming that his testimony would be included in a historical document set to be presented to Congress. While emphasizing the importance of national security and the careful handling of such information, Taber firmly believes that humanity deserves to know the truth about these objects. His statements add to the growing body of testimony suggesting that advanced technology beyond human capability has been secretly studied within the U.S. government.
The account of Air Force veteran Jake Barber closely parallels Eric Taber’s claims about a secret UFO retrieval program. Barber described witnessing and assisting in the recovery of an egg-shaped, white object with no visible propulsion or conventional flight mechanisms. This matches Taber’s description of the seamless, metallic craft supposedly stored at Area 51 in the 1980s. Barber’s experience is particularly significant because it was caught on video, with upcoming footage expected to reveal details of the retrieval. If confirmed, this could provide direct evidence supporting claims of government possession of non-human technology. If both Eric Taber’s account and Jake Barber’s testimony are accurate, this would mean that the U.S. government has recovered at least two egg-shaped UFOs.
