Mine Hill Mayor Sam Morris Invites John Kirby to See UFOs for Himself
Mine Hill Mayor Sam Morris has sharply criticized recent comments by White House National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby, calling them “ridiculous” in light of growing concerns over unexplained aerial phenomena in New Jersey. At a recent press briefing, Kirby stated there was no evidence the reported drone sightings posed a national security threat or were connected to foreign actors, suggesting many sightings were of lawful, manned aircraft. Morris, however, expressed incredulity at Kirby’s explanation, pointing out consistent nightly sightings of unidentified flying objects in his area, documented by himself and residents. The mayor extended a direct invitation for Kirby to visit Mine Hill and witness the phenomenon firsthand, asserting that the objects’ movements and patterns do not resemble traditional aircraft.
Mine Hill Township, located in Morris County, New Jersey, is a small community of around 4,000 residents known for its historical roots in iron mining. The township operates under the Faulkner Act’s Mayor-Council Plan, with Mayor Sam Morris serving as the chief executive. Morris, a longtime resident and Rutgers graduate, has focused on transparency, fiscal responsibility, and improving local infrastructure. Recently, he has drawn attention for advocating action on unexplained aerial phenomena reported in the region, joining other local officials in demanding federal answers about mysterious drone sightings.
Morris emphasized that the sightings have raised both curiosity and concern among residents and local officials. He likened the observed behavior of these objects to a game of “Pong,” describing their repetitive and precise back-and-forth movements, indicative of programmed paths. Despite dismissing the objects as an immediate threat, Morris acknowledged the risks posed by their presence, particularly if they malfunction or fall. He called for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Administrator Michael Whitaker to take the matter seriously and provide clarity, criticizing Kirby’s dismissal of the sightings as an insult to those experiencing them.
Morris also noted the growing frustration among New Jersey and Pennsylvania residents, as well as a coalition of local officials, who are demanding answers. The mayor underscored the importance of federal agencies addressing these reports transparently, urging a proactive investigation into the phenomena to alleviate fears and restore public confidence. For now, Morris and other officials remain vigilant, determined to hold federal authorities accountable for providing answers about the unusual aerial activity.
