The Turkey UFO Incident (2007)

The Turkey Ufo Incident (2007)

In 2007, a Turkish businessman named Yalcin Yalman captured footage of a UFO hovering over the Sea of Marmara near Istanbul. The Turkey UFO incident involved a series of sightings of strange, disc-shaped craft in the sky over the area. One of the most intriguing aspects of the incident was the video taken by Yalman, which allegedly showed one of the craft in detail. This video is also known as the Kumburgaz video.

According to Yalman, he was near the Yeni Kent Compound in Istanbul on May 13, 2007, when he saw a strange, glowing object in the sky. He grabbed his camera and began filming the object, which he described as a large, disc-shaped craft with several portholes. He also claimed to have seen small, humanoid beings in the craft, which he described as having elongated heads and six fingers on each hand.

The video footage quickly gained international attention and was analyzed by several experts in the field of UFO research. Some experts claimed that the video was one of the most compelling pieces of evidence for the existence of extraterrestrial life.

Yalcin Yalman captured multiple videos of the UFO on different dates between 2007 and 2009, indicating that the object might have had a prolonged presence in the area. Various experts, including well-known UFO researcher Dr. Roger Leir and image analyst Dr. Bruce Maccabee, analyzed the footage. Dr. Maccabee found no evidence of computer-generated imagery or manipulation, lending credibility to the authenticity of the footage.

During the analysis of the video, zoomed-in images revealed the presence of two humanoid figures inside the craft. Yalcin Yalman used an infrared camera to capture the footage, enabling him to record the UFO even under low-light conditions and reducing the likelihood of the object being a simple reflection or lens flare. The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK), a respected scientific organization in Turkey, also analyzed the footage. TUBITAK’s analysis concluded that the object in the video was not a hoax and could not be easily explained as a natural phenomenon or known man-made object, though they did not explicitly state that the object was extraterrestrial in origin.

The Turkish government also became involved in the incident and launched an investigation into the sightings. The investigation reportedly involved the Turkish Air Force, which initially denied any involvement in the incident. The Istanbul Sighting is considered one of the most credible UFO incidents due to the quality of the footage and the fact that it has been subjected to extensive analysis.
