The object was described as a glowing, elliptical-shaped craft with two occupants who appeared to be wearing white coveralls.
Zamora reported that he pulled over to the side of the road to observe the object, and watched as it suddenly started to descend towards the ground.
As the object descended, he reported that he saw a bright flash of light and heard a loud noise, followed by a second explosion.
Zamora reported witnessing an egg-shaped UFO equipped with four landing legs and a red, inverted “V” symbol with three lines underneath on the side of the craft.
The incident quickly gained national attention and was investigated by a number of organizations, including the United States Air Force.
The investigation revealed that the area where the object had landed was covered in scorched brush, and there were signs of impact on the ground, including landing gear impressions and metal scrapings on rocks.
